It can feel like a foreign and daunting world if you are new to wine tasting. There are many different types of wines, and each taster has their own language when describing them. With a little practice, you can become an experienced taster and figure out which wines you like most.

Colour can tell the age, grape variety, flavour density, acidity and more.

2. SWIRL
Swirl your glass for 5-10 seconds and it will enhance the aromas of the wine.

3. smell
Sniff thrice to notice different scents.

4. taste
Warm the wine with your tongue for a few seconds before swallowing.

5. savour
Wine transitions as you sip. Savour the aftertaste of the wine as it lingers.

With these simple basic steps, you can now appreciate wine better and slowly find your preference in wine.
